Branch Executive Director – Burke County YMCA

The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a Branch Executive Director to lead the Burke County YMCA-a leader who can connect people, programs, and resources to strengthen the community.

This isn't simply an operations role. It's an opportunity to be a visible community leader, develop an outstanding team, build relationships throughout Burke County, and help shape the future of the Y in the community.

What You'll Do

As Branch Executive Director, you'll provide leadership for the overall operation and continued growth of the Burke County YMCA. You'll work alongside staff, volunteers, members, community partners, and YMCA leadership to create an environment where people can belong, grow, and thrive.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead and develop people by hiring, coaching, training, and supporting a strong YMCA team.
• Build community connections with local organizations, businesses, government entities, volunteers, and community leaders.
• Guide the branch's strategy and operations, including budgeting, membership, programs, facilities, marketing, and annual planning.
• Grow the Y's impact by identifying opportunities for innovative, mission-driven programs that respond to community needs.
• Champion philanthropy through financial development and the YMCA's annual scholarship campaign.
• Engage and develop volunteers, including the branch board and committees.
• Create an exceptional member experience built on genuine relationships and a welcoming environment.
• Steward the branch responsibly, maintaining strong financial performance and safe, high-quality facilities.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can balance people, purpose, and performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, budgeting experience, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with people from across the community.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 4–6 years of management experience; and preferably 3–5 years of YMCA experience. CPR/AED, First Aid, and BBP certifications are required within 45 days of hire.
