Now Hiring: Business Office Manager – Be the Heart of Our Branch!
Are you a paperwork wizard? A master of multitasking? Do you love the idea of making a difference behind the scenes and at the front lines? We've got the job for you!
Under the guidance of the Branch Director, the Business Office Manager keeps our branch running smoothly-from managing member accounts to supporting staff and greeting guests with a smile. If you're equal parts organized, people-focused, and mission-driven, you might just be our next superstar!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Keeping member paperwork in check and processing changes like a pro
- Helping members with account questions, upgrades, and refunds
- Collaborating with front desk staff to give warm welcomes, set up memberships, and assist with program registration
- Reviewing and awarding scholarships (and keeping track like a champ)
- Leading the charge on member campaigns, tours, and retention strategies
- Training new staff on membership systems (don't worry-we'll train you first!)
- Making deposits and solving mysteries (aka account discrepancies) with your detective-level attention to detail
- Serving as Director on Duty when scheduled-because you've got this!
What You Bring to the Table:
- A high school diploma or GED (college degree is a bonus!)
- At least 1 year of experience at a Welcome Center and 2–4 years of related work experience
- Stellar customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (you're best friends with spreadsheets and systems)
- CPR/First Aid certified-or willing to be within 45 days
- A passion for people and a knack for getting things done
What to Expect:
- Office setting with occasional visits to other branches or events
- Busy front desk environment-no two days are the same!
- Light lifting (nothing over 20 lbs) and lots of moving around
- Team collaboration, problem-solving, and mission-driven work that makes a difference
Why You'll Love It Here:
At the Y, we're more than a gym-we're a community. You'll be part of a passionate, diverse team that believes in lifting each other up and helping everyone live life to the fullest. We value Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, and we're proud to be an inclusive, drug-free workplace where you can bring your full self to work.
Ready to keep the branch running like a well-oiled machine-and have fun doing it? Apply today and help us make a difference in our community!
