Site Lead – Prime Time Afterschool Program

The Family Y is seeking energetic, dependable, and caring individuals to serve as Site Leads in our Prime Time Afterschool Program.

As a Site Lead, you will help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This role provides leadership support at the site level while working directly with children, families, and staff to deliver quality youth programming aligned with YMCA values.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operation of the Prime Time program.
• Supervise and actively engage children in educational and recreational activities.
• Lead games, enrichment activities, and physical fitness opportunities.
• Assist with maintaining required staff-to-child ratios.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, school personnel, and YMCA staff.
• Ensure program spaces remain safe, clean, and organized.
• Assist with attendance, sign-in/sign-out procedures, and required documentation.
• Serve as a positive role model demonstrating Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred based on licensing requirements).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to participate in active games and fitness activities.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Reliable transportation.
