Part-Time Cook – Child Development Academy

Monday–Friday | 7:00am–12:00pm Non-Exempt (Hourly) | Drug-Free Workplace

The YMCA is seeking a dependable Cook to manage daily kitchen operations for our Child Development Academy. This role ensures children receive nutritious meals in a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals and snacks following state nutrition guidelines
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety compliance
• Manage food inventory and ordering
• Complete required CACFP and GA Pre-K documentation
• Ensure compliance with state health and childcare licensing regulations
• Support YMCA events and uphold our values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility

Qualifications:

• 18+ years old with High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months related experience
• Safe Serve & Food Handler Certification
• CPR/First Aid (within 45 days of hire)
• Pass Georgia background check
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
