Do you take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces? The Family YMCA of Greater Augusta is seeking a Lead Custodian to help maintain our facility while providing day-to-day leadership and support to our custodial team.

As a working lead, you'll coordinate daily custodial tasks, assist with training and mentoring staff, help maintain facility standards, and ensure our members enjoy a clean and safe environment every day.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support daily custodial operations.
• Perform cleaning and minor maintenance throughout the facility.
• Train and coach custodial staff.
• Monitor facility cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory, event setup, and building security.
• Provide outstanding customer service while living the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Custodial or facilities experience required; leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must obtain Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 45 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
